Hi Terry: Congratulations on another great litter of puppies!! Just a
short note to let you know that Ellie has now started her puppy classes
and she is a STAR! She learns things so quickly and she is getting big.
At 4 months she weighs 38lbs and is tall. She is a very social pup and
loves to meet new people and dogs. She went to a puppy play session and
she made sure she said hello to all the owners and she did not nip at
anyone or any puppies. She is a wonderful dog!! Will send you a photo
when she is 6 months old. She does have attitude and likes to talk!! She
does not bite me anymore and is encouraged to give kisses ( she will
give me a little lick ) when she looks like she may play nip. Daughter of Autumn and Baron

Jaime from Sherwood Park, AB. says I just wanted to let you know that Eve has settled into our home nicely, her and Jessie (our old lady) are getting along fabulously. She really is an amazing dog, she is so smart, I am bombarded with compliments on how beautiful and well behaved she is whenever we are out.  She was the perfect addition to our family, thank you for her Terry, you really do breed amazing dogs!

Kristie in Manitoba says I have got to say, I have never been happier with a purchase. Duke is an amazing dog. He is incredibly smart, obedient, loyal, confident, friendly ect. He is everything we were looking for in a dog. I have been meaning to upload you pictures. I will definitely send you some once I do. We have also been keeping up with the BARF diet. I have never heard of that before, but I am certainly a big fan of it now. He seems so much healthier than the neighborhood dogs. Thanks again for everything. It has been a pleasure working with you, and will recommend you to others in the future.

Crystal from Timmons, Ontario says about her new little female pup Good morning Terry, Our new puppy is doing really well! She has had good nights and has been a pleasure during the day!  She meets every new environment with apt curiosity and is not fearful of any new animals she encounters. She adores our Guinea Pig however has not made her mind up about one of our cats yet-she barks at him alot but I suspect that she'll get over that as soon as he stops staring at her like he can taste her! We involved her in the barn yesterday while doing chores several times during the day and she is very interested in checking out the new smells. She is not bothered by or overly stimulated by the horses calling. While feeding them this morning my husband and I took her out with us to walk the grain rounds and she was interested in watching them but not barking or acting scared. We will continue over the next few weeks to keep her on a long tether while near all livestock as to remind her of her boundaries and of course to keep her safe. Our Shepherd has readily adopted her presence and interacts with her positively and the other dog has begun to show some interest in her too- certainly both are very tolerable of her. She still is minding her place and taking her cues on how to behave and interact with the older dogs from them. She has a healthy appetite and drinks well and often, is learning the limitations of a leash and walking pretty well with all of us our two girls included.
There is not a boarder in my barn that is not super impressed with how well adjusted your pup is! Thank you again for taking the time to socialize and work with your puppies-Job well done!

Constance a member of the RCMP says "Just a note to let you know Rico an (Autumn/Baron Pup) is doing very well.. He has been going to obedience class and doing awesome, he is very focused and wants to please. The instructor just loves him and we use him a lot to do demos. He has adjusted well to our other dogs and my husband has been found on the floor playing with him and that is so great to see because he never got a chance to do this with our other Shepherd
Dr Jeff and Vicki from Prince Albert say: We have never owned a dog the size of Bane.  The large breeds can be intimidating.  Bane is so gentle and obedient that his size is easily managable.  He loves our old beagle, plays with our black lab and has not hurt a farm cat.  He needs exercise and can go for miles, or fetch toys as long as you will throw them.  He is always on guard.  At night when we are sitting by the fire, our lab and beagle sleep by our feet but Bane is sitting up watching into the dark for anything that might be moving.  You feel very safe with his keen senses focused on our safety.  He may be too smart though, the door has a handle he can work and now lets himself through the door.
We love our sheperd, and have no regrets with Bane.  We hope he is a part of our family for many many years.

Hi Terry,

I just had to send you a quick e-mail to tell you what wonderful puppy Maggie is. She was perfect on the 3 1/2 hour long ride home, we stopped twice to let her out but she didn’t do anything. She did not go in the car the entire trip, and as soon as we got home I took her outside to her area and she immediately went to the bathroom. She has not gone in the house once since we brought her home, and by the end of the first night (Sunday) she was going to the patio doors when she needed to go outside. Just remarkable!!! The very first night we put her in her crate be side Deanna's side and after she realized someone was right beside her she slept right through the night, and when I let her out in the morning she went straight outside. No accidents at all.

You can tell you have spent time with her, she is very outgoing, very mischievous ( in a good way ) and when anyone has come over to see her she runs over and greets them right away. We could not be happier and will recommend you and your dogs to anyone we know that is looking for a great pup. Thanks again.
Hi Terry from the West Virgin Islands

Time for Taggart to let "home" know how he is doing.

He is an absolutely great dog! We have had a number of shepherds over the years, all of whom we have loved dearly. However, both Bill and I feel that Tag is probably the very best of them all. He is extremely smart - he went for a training lesson with Osbert, the Customs dog trainer who does the dog training on the Island, two weeks ago and really surprised him. He thought that Tag had already had a full course of training. Actually Tag surprised me by how well he worked with Osbert. You only have to tell him twice what you want and he has it. He is also the perfect companion. He wants to be with you. If you disappear behind the car as he is going down the drive, it is only seconds before he comes back to investigate. As you say of his father, very frequently he anticipates what you are going to want him to do and has already done it when you turn to give the command. He looks very smug when he is already sitting!

We're off to a great start!!

Cheers! Anne

Here is a link to a little slide show we did http://youtu.be/C-Cmrq7q9T0, we just had so many pictures, we thought it would be cool if you could see him growing up. You might recognize one of the other GSD’s in the pics....Bruno, Tara’s dads dog (Ross in the NWT). Even though the two half brothers live miles apart, the two of them must know they are related because they “were” like two peas in a pod.....But like all brothers, now that they are older, are trying to “rule the roost” so to speak.... I am sure they will figure it out though....but, if you have any suggestions on how to get two large strong willed Alpha males to get along....our ears are open!

Anyway....thanks so much for your wonderful dogs, and perhaps we will see you in the future when it is time for another one of your GSD’s....I also attached a Jpeg pic to the email for you....

Sincerely,

Ross in NWT says Hi Terry, was talking with my daughter (Tara) last night and she mentioned you were looking for a picture we took of Bruno keeping an eye on a black bear that was swimming beside the boat in the Mackenzie River. The bear was about 10 feet from the boat and Bruno wasn’t the least bit intimidated as you can see from the pictures. The third picture is from last summer. He really has developed into a great dog, tremendous drive and determination and incredibly athletic. I have to be careful what I ask him to do as he is fearless and won’t give up until called off. I feel guilty that I’m probably allowing him to realize only a fraction of what he is capable of. You can really see his natural abilities for obedience, tracking and protection. He is very good natured and gentle but suspicious of strangers and seems to know when to turn into a guard dog. We had some kids trying to get into the house last summer in the middle of the night, Bruno met them at the door, barked once and they took off running, better than any alarm system. Take care and thanks again for Bruno.

Rodney says about Falco,

I'm not sure how much he weighs now, but he is big and very strong.
He is a very smart dog, he had a mind of his own and is always aware of what is going on around him.
He still is very much a puppy at times when it's play time, and you have to remind him not to jump up on the kids or try and pull them with his mouth.
He 's loyal and is on the watch out for people coming around the yard or any or us. I don't see any sign of any mean or concerning with him at all. I feel very safe with leaving him alone with the kids.
He loves them and they him, he is one of the family.
I've taken him to some obedience training, but will be taking him for more now that he is older and can concentrate better and work longer.
I want to teach him how to use the obstetical course, then maybe take him to a pro and learn some other higher end work. Guard dog type of work, will see on that.
He was neutered early last fall and I tell ya that helped with him so much
He is the family dog, but as you know that they always seem to have someone that they like more then others. That would be me, and I'm good with that. he's my boy and I truly and so happy and love to show him off.
You are raising very good dog's in so many way's. He is smart, strong, fun, loyal, good looking. He is turning out to be the dog I was looking for.

Here are a few photos of Zeke these were taken just before he turned 4 months old. He is now 5 months, his ears are up well he's healthy and he's a lot of fun. He just had his first boat ride and he fears nothing.  We are in our second session of obedience classes and although he's all puppy, he's doing well.

I just wanted to let you know that Kola is doing well. She is a fantastic dog. We think she is way ahead of our last German Shepherd at the 8 month stage. She is very clever and obedient and great with kids. She loves to play ball, go swimming and play with her best friend Sage a 7 year old chocolate lab. She gets 2-3 walks a day and still wants more. She is great with other dogs but she might just be a bird dog! She loves to stock the birds in the fields around our house and has caught 1 already. We love her to death and couldn't be happier. Oh! I almost forgot she is our goalie when we play hockey with my nephews.

Hi Terry

Just wanted to let you know that our puppy is doing very well! She hardly cried right from the beginning and only had the odd accident in the house. We also have her in puppy training and she's getting very good at sitting and staying. I can walk away into the other room and she won't move until I say "ok"! She's so sweet! We've brought her to the daycare I work at and is so calm and loves all the kids. She's grown a lot too. Now weights 26lbs. As you can see by the photo she's getting a bit of dark dark red on the top of her head. And her one ear is up and one down now. It's pretty cute thanks again for the wonderful dog!

Thought I would drop you a line and let you know how we are doing. Nakia is growing like a weed, had her at the Vet yesterday and she weighs 29 lbs. Her coat is nice and shiny and she seems very happy. It was a struggle but she is now house trained. The new thing is biting. There for a while I thought I was going to lose all my fingers and my hands but she is starting to realize we mean it when we say no. Her and I go for 3 walks every day, she is starting to get more self confidence. She knows how to sit, and shake a paw is coming along. Her down is good, walking on a leash is a joke. Nakia gets her last shots on Nov 9 and then it is off to class. Socializing with some other puppies and doing some ground work should give her mind something to do instead of concentrating on biting me. I am attaching some pictures you might enjoy.

Just wanted to say thank you again for the pup, and kudos to yourself and all your helpers for the dogs you raise.
Jet has been so easy to train. Jet is now 11 weeks old and to this point we have him potty trained, he is able to sit, laydown, shake a paw, come when called, and healing on a leash, i think that is incredible for a dog to be able to do all that at his age. I am just starting to work with him in tracking so i will keep you posted on how that goes but by the way things have been going it should go well
thanks Terry

Hi! I have been a fan of GSDs all my life. I've been loved by 2. I have been appalled by the "state" of the breed as I've seen them at dog shows. And I thought that the working lines would be too intense. I had really given up on the idea that I would ever find a GSD with a calm, stable temperament and a fantastic structure. Then I found you guys! I am not "in the market" right now for another dog - we have 3! :) But when I am, I will be looking again at your GSDs. Best of luck to you and "keep up the good work"! Cheers! Keena
HI Terry,

It’s been close to two months since I’ve had Ryder now and thought I would give you an update on her. She is growing like a weed she is just shy of 40lbs and not even 4 months yet so I’m excited to see how big she will get! She adjusted into my family very well and fits right in, she had yet to become friends with the cats but that will come in time. Training/school will start soon for her, she does to daycare now a couple days in the week and is enjoying all the dogs to play with.
I have attached a few pictures to show you what she looks like now!
Thank you again for such a beautiful dog.. I get a lot of compliments.
Hi Terry,
Thought I would send a couple pictures of Trigger, we got him from your litter born Dec 5th and picked up at the end of January/beginning of Feb. He is doing so good, growing like a weed! People can't believe how big he is, his paws catch a lot of people's eyes. He is too cute and so well-mannered. He gets along really well with other pups/dogs and is very good around kids. Let me know if the pictures didn't work. The one of myself and him is the most recent from this past Easter weekend.

Hi Terry! Well we will fill you in on our first day with Nico. First, he is an awesome traveller. He slept until we were a block away from home. When we got home, Wayne took him for a walk on the leash for about 5 houses down. Brought him in, introduced him to Miley, and our 2 cats. He growled at the cats lol. He cried for about 15 minutes and that was it. He is such a calm, relaxed little guy! We put him in the crate in our room around 11:00 and he slept until 5:00 a.m. He went out to pee and right back to bed until we got him up at 7:30. We taught him to do stairs, yesterday he would put his front paws up but didnt know what to do with his back ones. Today, he is doing them by himself! He is better on the leash today too. He cries when he has to pee or poop so no accidents yet either. He is a wonderful puppy and is sooo loved by us all. He likes his space and his alone time when he has had enough of the kids. He will go to his crate or behind our rocker and "Flop" in the corner and sleep! So, so far so good-he is a very well behaved little guy! I'll keep you posted in a couple of days how he is progressing! Have a great day!!
Hi Terry! Yes he is still doing awesome! Another great night in the crate. He slept from 11:00-5:00 a.m. again last night. Then he goes right back to sleep. He is such a good little boy. We love how calm he is and not a hyper puppy. Him and Miley played tag all morning yesterday. They did about 50 laps around our island in the kitchen chasing each other and tails wagging. I think she is starting to accept him and hope they will become great friends. Nico just ignores the cats and they ignore him. But they do go in the same room as him, they aren't afraid of him. He growls a little at the male cat, but he is great with the female. Thanks again for such a wonderful puppy! We will definitely be referring your Kennel to everybody we know!
